Authorities identified the man who was killed as 27-year-old Malik Pandy.
A 27-year-old man was killed and another person was wounded in a shooting Wednesday afternoon in Carteret that led to the lockdown of a local school, officials said.
One of the victims, identified as Malik Pandy, died from his injuries at a local hospital, authorities said. A spokesperson for the prosecutor’s office did not immediately have information on the second victim’s condition. No arrests were reported.
