Here’s a look at what’s happening in the Alamo City.Electronic house DJ and producer Deadmau5 is bringing more than two decades of music to this concert. The mouse-masked DJ is working on a collaboration with DJ Kaskade; the duo recently released the single “Alive” and are expected to have an album, “Kx5,” out in March.
The Garza brothers are back with the blues rock and sibling harmonies that go into their signaure blend of Texican rock ’n’ roll.Adding a pop sheen to norteño music in the ’80s and ’90s made the Mexican band Bronco so big they were the subjects of a miniseries. The band’s hits include “Que no Queda Huella” and “Adoro.”San Antonio Philharmonic:
Cellist Tommy Mesa will perform two pieces composed for him at this concert: “Divided,” written by Jessie Montgomery, and “SEVEN,” a pandemic-themed solo piece written by Andrea Casarrubios to recognize front-line workers. The concert, which also includes Haydn’s Symphony No. 95 in C minor and Mozart’s “Jupiter” symphony, will be conducted by Andrew Grams.saphil.org.The concert-style show chronicles the journey of folk-rock duo Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel.
