The 2016 NFL draft was eventful for the Dallas Cowboys, as they came away with key pieces in Ezekiel Elliott and Dak Prescott. Dallas, however, didn’t come away with any players from Dabo Swinney’s program.
That year, Clemson got close to a program record with nine players selected. The school had 10 players chosen in 1983. Kearse was one of the last Tigers taken in the draft, going to the Vikings with the 244th overall pick.Before he starred at Clemson, Kearse showcased his athletic ability all over the field.he was a four-star recruit and the No. 16-rated athlete in the class of 2013. He ran for 528 yards and averaged 18.9 yards per reception, coming down with 10 touchdowns on offense in his senior year at South Fort Meyers High . On defense, Kearse posted 87 tackles, three sacks and a pick.
