Police responded to a shooting that sent a 13-year-old girl to the hospital from a southeast Houston apartment complex.A man shot a 13-year-old girl late Tuesday while trying to fire at his girlfriend’s mother during a fight in a southeast Houston apartment, officials said.
Officers responded around 9 p.m. to a report of a shooting in the 1200 block of Redford Street, On Scene reported. A 13-year-old girl was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.Witnesses told detectives a man had been visiting his girlfriend when he got into a fight with her, officials said. During that argument, he pulled out a gun and shot at the girlfriend’s mother. But he missed and hit the 13-year-old girl in the leg. The man then fled the scene.
