Another teenager is shot and killed in Chicago. This time it's a 14-year-old whose body was found in Woodlawn.
As CBS 2's Mugo Odigwe explains, it's the latest case of young kids turning into gun violence victims in the city. We're still waiting for the Medical Examiner's Office to put out a bit more info about that 14-year-old boy. But when it comes to the investigation, it doesn't seem like police have much to go off of.Police responded to shots fired and upon arrival found the 14-year-old boy unresponsive on the ground.Several officers were out there overnight and police tape blocking off the crime scene. We counted at least 29 evidence markers on the ground.
We looked at the numbers and found that starting from 5 p.m. last Friday to 5 a.m. Thursday morning, seven minors have been shot in Chicago. of that seven two were killed including the 14-year-old. Police say witnesses told them they saw a blue minivan driving away from the scene following the shooting.
