A man is dead and a 14-year-old is in custody after a stabbing in a West Valley City park on Thursday.
At 5:45 a.m., police received a report of a man who was not conscious and appeared to have multiple wounds at Scottsdale Park at 3755 S. 3100 South. When officers arrived, they discovered the 24-year-old man was dead. His name has not been released.
On Thursday evening, West Valley City police announced they had arrested a 14-year-old who is believed to have argued with the victim before stabbing him. According to police, the victim was at the park with “multiple other peopler” when the argument “resulted in an altercation” that led to the stabbing.
