Two teens were shot near the Police Athletic League's South Bronx Center in the Longwood section on Thursday. Janice Yu has details.A 15-year-old boy has died after he and another teen was shot near the Police Athletic League's South Bronx Center on Thursday.
Police say a young man, wearing a mask, shot the 15-year-old, identified as Josue Lopez-Ortega, in the head. He died Friday afternoon at Lincoln Hospital.Neither shot teen has prior interaction with police. People in the neighborhood say the rec center is supposed to be a good resource for kids in the community and it's upsetting to hear something so violent happened right outside.
