Morning rain ending then cloudy with areas of fog. A few late day showers around.
CLEVELAND, Ohio - An intense storm will be impacting the area today. Low pressure will track through Illinois today and will position itself over Lake Michigan by this evening. A strong cold front will roll through tonight. Rain and embedded storms will continue to push east of our area early this morning. Some flooding has been reported, along with standing water on area roads. Current forecast has us mainly dry much of the day. A few late afternoon showers will be around.
A lake breeze will keep things much cooler near the shore. There will even be areas of fog and drizzle. Temperatures could soar to around 70 degrees south of the front. Thunderstorms will develop later today west of our area then track into northeast Ohio this evening. The team is monitoring the potential of severe weather. You’ll need to pay close attention to what is going on later on.
