ASHLAND COUNTY, Ohio - A semi-trailer carrying more than two dozen cows caught fire on I-71 Sunday evening.
Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers said the fire happened just before 10 p.m. on I-71 northbound at the Ashland and Richland County lines.According to troopers, about 37 cows were in the vehicle and two died from their injuries.Ashland County Sheriff deputies, Mifflin Township firefighters and EMS, Aber’s Towing, and workers with the Ohio Department of Transportation also responded to the scene.
