Greater Johnstown School District in Cambria County received two shooting threats earlier in the week, leading to schools shutting down for two days.
Superintendent Dr. Amy Arcurio said schools would resume on Thursday.
“The threats that were made against our school district -- the time frame and the indication of what was to occur -- has long passed. We feel that there is no need to keep children at home,” said Arcurio., Johnstown Police Department and the superintendent announced the arrests in a press conference on Wednesday, Jan. 18.
“The consequences are far-reaching for these juveniles and this is something that very well may follow them into and throughout adulthood,” District Attorney Gregory Neugebauer said viaAuthorities did not confirm if the juveniles were working together, but the superintendent said one of them was a cyber school student.
