2 liquor store employees pistol-whipped during attempted armed robbery on Chicago's Far North Side
CHICAGO â Two employees were hurt following an attempted armed robbery inside a liquor store in the West Ridge neighborhood Monday night. Police say around 10:28 p.m., three men walked into the store, located in the 2900 block of West Devon Avenue, with handguns and demanded money.
The employees, a 49-year-old and a 65-year-old man, refused and were pistol-whipped in the head. One of the robbers fired a shot inside the business but no one was hurt, according to police. Both men suffered a cut to the head and were taken to Swedish Hospital in good condition. No arrests were made.Area three detectives are investigating.
