Two people were killed when an 18-wheeler crashed into traffic Monday on U.S. Route 287 in Grand Prairie, police said.
Police said the tractor-trailer was headed south about noon on the highway, between FM 661 and Prairie Ridge Boulevard, when truck driver failed to slow down and collided with three other vehicles held up in construction traffic. The drivers of two of the vehicles, both men, were pronounced dead. Police have not released their names.An investigation into the crash is ongoing, and no additional information was available..
