WJLA has learned Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) is investigating two incidents that occurred at Davis Middle School in Waldorf, Maryland.

WALDORF, Md. —has learned Charles County Public Schools is investigating two incidents that occurred at Davis Middle School in Waldorf, Maryland.

One incident involved a fight between a teacher and a substitute, according to a letter sent home by Robert Griffiths, who is the principal.The second incident was caught on camera and appears to show a fight between two female students. The video, which was reviewed by , appears to show the classroom teacher allowing the girls to fight as students clear space and then asking other students to “break it up.”, the principal of the school sent a letter late Friday to parents informing them that the circumstances of the fight are being investigated by the sheriff's office and the school system.

In a new letter from the principal sent Sunday, Griffiths said investigations into both incidents have continued throughout the weekend and said such incidents are not tolerated: Acts lacking professionalism such as this are not tolerated. Employees of CCPS who violate professional etiquette and endanger our student and staff, face school level discipline including immediate removal and the involvement of HR, DSS, and the CCSO.On Monday afternoon, the Charles County Sheriff's Office released their statement, adding that they are consulting the Charles County State's Attorney's Office for criminal charges.
