An investigation is ongoing after two women were injured in a shooting in the Gold Coast overnight, the Chicago Police Department said.
Officers on foot patrol in the area of the 100 block of West Division Street heard gunshots around 3:15 a.m. and found a 29-year-old woman with a graze wound to the left side of the head and a 26-year-old woman with two gunshot wounds to the left leg and buttocks, police said. Both women were transported to Northwestern Hospital in good condition.A person was taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit, and a weapon was recovered, police said.
