2 women shot on Cleveland’s East Side as family members attended memorial service, police say

Family and friends had gathered for a memorial service near East 152nd and St. Clair, residents said. At least two people were injured and taken to University Hospitals.

CLEVELAND, Ohio – A suspect opened fire Monday afternoon on the city’s East Side, striking at least two victims in a burst of gun shots, authorities say.and The Plain Dealer that family and friends had recently gathered for a memorial service near East 152nd and St. Clair Avenue. The shooting took place about 3:30 p.m.

At least two people were injured and taken to University Hospitals.Residents said they believed several people were hurt.
