A federal grant is bringing improvements in safety, quality of life, and transportation to an underserved Fort Worth community.
"It improves the morale overall," Fort Worth resident Felicia Moreland said."Anything rundown that gets an upgrade or redo is always a good thing.""Construction inhibits traffic and people just stay away from it," Mendoza said."I think I'm going to lose space,” Mendoza said. “I've been told we are going to lose about six feet and that leaves less space for me here.
""Throughout the planning process from concept to where we are now all the way through full construction to ensure that any of those issues can be mitigated," Porter said."We're at least doing something instead of just sitting back and letting the area deteriorate," Mendoza said.Fort Worth has a survey underway now to get more input from citizens on the long-term Fort Worth Eastside Transportation Plan.
