A new 2.0 turbocharged powerplant for the 2023 Jeep Compass promises more power.
We reckon that most car buyers can probably think of better ways to spend their time. It seems that Jeep has figured that out as well. The 2023 Jeep Compass 4x4 is ditching the 2.4 liter engine in favor of a standard 2.0 liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder from
family that pushes out 200 hp and 221 lb ft of torque. That should be more than enough to get the new Compass cruising comfortably on the freeway without burying your foot through the floor. Maybe Jeep read our review?The changes don't just stop with the engine either. Jeep's"Active Drive 4x4" system will also be standard issue across all models. The breathless engine and 2WD drivetrains are both being left behind in favor of boost and sending power to all of the wheels.
The 2023 Jeep Compass will have five trims available: Sport, Latitude, Latitude LUX, Limited and Trailhawk all of which are currently available for order and should start arriving in North American dealerships in the first quarter of 2023.
