Candidates for California’s 30th congressional district are: Francesco Arreaga, Alex Balekian, Joshua Bocanegra, Steve Dunwoody, Mike Feuer, Laura Friedman, Sal Genovese, Emilio Martinez, Nick Melvoin, Courtney Najera, Anthony Portantino, G Maebe Pudlo, Jirair Ratevosian, Ben Savage and Sepi Shyne. A competitive field of candidates are jockeying to claim the open 30th District Congressional seat while its incumbent Rep.
Schiff held onto the seat for 23 years and used it to create a name for himself on the national stage. Now he is using it as a springboard for a U.S. Senate campaign — His political priorities include public education, mental health, sensible gun control, sustainability, transportation and keeping entertainment jobs in California, according to his campaign website. He has been endorsed by California state Attorney General Rob Bonta, the LA. He served on the frontlines of COVID-19, an experience that taught him the value of resilience, adaptability, and selfless service, according to his campaign website.
