Three new live-action 'Star Wars' films are on the way, with Daisy Ridley reprising her role as Rey.

Celebration in London that three new live-action films are on the way, saying the plan is to "expand the past, the present and the future" of the franchise. At the helm of these films are James Mangold, who directed "Logan" and is directing the forthcoming "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny"; Dave Filoni, a veteran of the "Star Wars" universe across numerous projects; and two-time Academy Award winner Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, who recently directed two "Ms. Marvel" episodes for Marvel.

Kennedy teased Filoni's project as one that will "bring together many of the threads of our series in that cinematic event that we've been promising you." He will be working with Jon Favreau on the film.
