If you're looking for an unusual piece of 49ers memorabilia, a Bay Area Costco may have you covered.
On Thursday, Niners legend Jerry Rice made a special appearance at the Hayward Costco on Hesperian Boulevard to promote his sports energy drink G.O.A.T. Fuel. Cases of the product were left behind, and Rice wrote on Instagram that he had signed them. The 'lifestyle brand' was started by Rice and his family four years ago, and interspersed with gameday appearances and golf excursions, his Instagram heavily promotes the energy drink. 'G.O.A.T.
Fuel promotes the unstoppable strength of a hopeful mindset through energy infused products, content and experiences.' The drinks come in flavors like pineapple cream soda, tropical berry, gummy bear, watermelon fruit punch and the simply named 'candy.' It's been a busy week in the Bay Area for the Rice family. On Saturday, Rice's son Brenden Rice, who plays wide receiver for USC, caught a touchdown pass against the Bears in Berkeley.
