The 49ers hope a Monday Night Football date with the Rams can get their season on track, just like it did last year.
The 49ers look to bounce back from a prime-time loss last week to the Broncos with a prime-time win over the division-rival Rams.
And there may be no better get-right opponent for San Francisco, which has defeated Sean McVay’s Rams in six straight regular-season games. Of course, the last time these teams played was not, in fact, a regular-season game, as the Rams came back last January to win the NFC Championship and, eventually, the Super Bowl in February.
The 49ers will be without perhaps their best overall player, All-Pro left tackle Trent Williams, who went down with a high ankle sprain in Denver and is expected to miss four-to-six weeks.
