Defensive lineman Marlon Davidson, a former Atlanta Falcons second-round draft pick, signed a one-year deal with the 49ers, as did quarterback Brandon Allen and tight end Troy Fumagalli.
SANTA CLARA — Defensive lineman Marlon Davidson, just three years ago, was celebrated by the Atlanta Falcons as a second-round draft pick from Auburn.
About that interception, it was the 18th pick-six thrown by Tom Brady, and it vaulted the Falcons into the lead of their December 2021 home win over Tampa Bay. Davidson is not the only 49ers defensive lineman looking to rebound from knee issue. Javon Kinlaw, the 49ers’ top draft pick in 2000, will return this year in most likely a reserve role, now that they signed Javon Hargrave in free agency. Davidson, 24, figures to play on that interior with his size, if his knee allows.
