One of two motorcyclists who were shot along Interstate 45 in Spring on Friday has died, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office reports. That shooting may be related to three other shootings near Huntsville, authorities said.
The man was originally expected to survive, but died around 3:30 p.m."despite extensive medical efforts," according to a press release from the sheriff's office. His identity was not provided.
The Huntsville shooting happened around 12 p.m. on Interstate 45 on the northbound side near the 114-mile marker, Huntsville Police Lt. Wade Roberts said. Police were called to a report of a shooting and when they arrived they found three men shot, Roberts said. The men were all wearing clothes that appeared to belong to an"outlaw" motorcycle group, Roberts said. He declined to name the group.
