COOS COUNTY, Ore. — A 62-year-old woman had to be rescued after she fell and injured herself near Face Rock State Scenic Viewpoint in Bandon, Oregon on Wednesday. The Coast Guard was called at 2:06 p.m. to assist Coos County firefighters and other rescuers in evacuating the woman from the beach.Local emergency crews were unable to safely evacuate her due to challenging terrain. An aircrew from Coast Guard Sector North Bend transported the woman by medevac to Bay Area Hospital in Coos Bay for treatment.
