Is 7Pie's $7 cheese pizza the cheapest cheese pizza deal in Houston?
, a fast-casual pizza restaurant, celebrated its grand opening in Houston with two locations inside the Loop.
As far as standing out from the crowd, 7Pie touts all of its pizzas are ready in 2 minutes in special ovens with clay hearthstones. Other than that, it's your usual fare: Pizzas, subs, salads, chicken and a dessert. But what's most intriguing is the $7 cheese pizza. It's 12 inches and sports a mozzarella-provolone blend. And I think it's the cheapest cheese pizza in town.
I took a gander at over a dozen restaurants, acclaimed or otherwise, and saw prices ranging from $10 all the way to $16. Even the chains, such as Pizza Hut and Papa John's, don't have 12-inch cheese pizzas that cheap. If a cheaper option exists somewhere, let me know. In the meantime, 7Pie has two locations in the 6400 block of Telephone Road and the 12300 block of Westheimer.for the 1500 block of North Wayside Drive and the 4700 block of Irvington. The rest are expected to be launched in Baytown, Bay City, Freeport, Livingston, La Marque, Port Arthur and Santa Fe.
