The charges stem from an alleged incident that took place last November
has been charged with two counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm. Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón announced the charges on Monday afternoon. Rocky, born Rakim Mayers, is set to be arraigned on Aug. 17.

The rapper was on his way back to the U.S. on a private plane from Barbados, where he was vacationing with his fiancée,The case is currently under investigation by the LAPD’s robbery/homicide division.
