Greece is sizzling under another heat wave. To keep animals cool, a zoo near Athens is feeding them frozen snacks. They are also helping deer and turtles hurt in recent wildfires.

The zoo is looking after an injured fallow deer and several turtles who suffered burns and other injuries during a major wildfire on the island of Rhodes. The extreme temperatures and wildfires a growing concern for biodiversity globally have also had an impact on Greek wildlife.
