MONTGOMERY, Ala. - A whole bunch of sunshine is on the way over the next three days here in Central and South Alabama. Skies will be mainly sunny each day through Saturday.Slightly cooler air will be in place today with highs topping out right around 70 degrees. Today will also be a bit breezy with northerly winds between 10 and 20 mph. So if you’re in a shaded area it may feel a little cool to you today.
Highs tomorrow will be a touch warmer in the lower and middle 70s. That comes after a chilly start tomorrow morning in the lower 40s. A few upper 30s are possible in rural locations. However, no frost is in the forecast for anybody in the WSFA 12 News viewing area.Saturday will again be mainly sunny with even warmer temperatures reaching the upper 70s. More clouds will be in place on Easter Sunday with highs reaching the lower 80s.
Despite the cloudiness it will stay dry from start to finish on Easter. So if you plan on spending time outdoors for an egg hunt or family photos, you will be just fine! Monday will also be dry and on the cloudier side of the spectrum. High temperatures will again warm into the lower 80s. You may notice an uptick in humidity levels on Monday as conditions moisten up ahead of the next cold front eyeing Alabama.
That front will likely come through Tuesday night, bringing a chance of showers and thunderstorms between roughly 6 p.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. Wednesday. While it’s too early to discuss specifics, we can say there should be at leastThis is something we’ll have to watch closely over the next several days because April is Alabama’s busiest month of the year when it comes to severe weather and tornado activity.
