The bats emerge in a lengthy streak from the Ann W. Richards South Congress Bridge at about dusk, typically from March to October, attracting viewers to the bridge and to the Austin American-Statesman Bat Observation Center below. You probably won’t get a great photo with your phone, but you will witness an unforgettable spectacle.
