McDowell says all the signs point to Chang’e 5-T1, and he’s reasonably sure that’s where the errant rocket came from—but he’s still not 100 percent confident.Only if better orbital tracking data is found that allows astronomers to more reliably rewind the object’s path through space. The rocket itself will be completely destroyed when it hits the moon.
