The news came during the streamer's second Upfront presentation to advertisers on Wednesday."I saw Adam about two weeks ago, and he says to me, 'McDonald, you're gonna love this,'" he told Cleveland radio's. Maybe you should cut that out because I don’t wanna be a liar, but he did show me that, and I thought, 'Well, that would be awesome.' So it's in the works. Fans demand it, damn it!"," Barrymore said.
Later, Barrymore appeared to read a message from Sandler on her phone that seemingly confirmed a sequel was in the works. "This just in, I have breaking news," she told her audience. "I'll just say this, from my source, that it is in process.In the endlessly quotable comedy, he stars as a wannabe hockey player with a wicked slap shot but limited skating skills.
Where Happy will be nearly 30 years later is anyone's guess. Netflix did not provide plot details, a release date, or other details in its presentation. Either way, Sandler can count on
