Aurora to purchase former bank building on fringe of downtown
City officials have said purchasing the building is strategic, so the city can control the use of the property on the downtown fringe in the future. The city intends to use tax money collected from gambling at Hollywood Casino Aurora to pay the $1.6 million needed to buy the property.
