Airbnb using AI to avoid out-of-control Halloween house parties

Ahead of Halloween, Airbnb is trying to stop potential parties before they even happen.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. —The company said it will be using artificial intelligence to try to prevent customers from throwing large gatherings and disrupting neighborhoods.

The company said this time last year, they blocked more than 11,000 people in Florida. Airbnb rental properties strictly prohibit disruptive and open-invite gatherings. WPEC spoke with former Airbnb hosts to see how they feel about the new regulations ahead of Halloween. Aside from AI, Airbnb has a community leadership team to help owners like Marolla feel protected and neighbors feel safe.
