A 22-year-old was arrested Wednesday for the shooting that left 17-year-old Antenio Louis dead and a 23-year-old man injured.
According to the Akron Beacon Journal, the suspect has been charged with aggravated murder and felonious assault in connection with the Aug. 16 shooting. Another suspect, a 20-year-old man, was arrested last month by the U.S. Marshals Service.Authorities say officers responded to a call about a shooting near East Glenwood Avenue and Dan Street in Akron around 4 p.m. on Aug. 16, which is where they found the 17-year-old and 23-year-old inside a vehicle. Both had been shot.
Based on preliminary information, the two were driving along when the occupants of a second vehicle pulled in front of their car and opened fire. The shooters fled in an unknown direction, authorities said. Louis was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The 23-year-old was transported to a different hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.According to the ABJ, Louis was a player for the Akron East Football Team.We Follow ThroughWant us to continue to follow through on a story?
