The Crimson Tide starting right tackle said he got banged up against Tennessee on Oct. 21.

Alabama offensive lineman JC Latham sets up for a play against Mississippi during the first half of an NCAA college football game, Saturday, Sept. 23, 2023, in Tuscaloosa, Ala. players were asked about favorite candy and old costumes in the Naylor Stone Media Suite on Tuesday. No player went to the podium dressed up, but JC Latham was wearing something that may scare a Crimson Tide fan days before playing Harold Perkins and LSU: a walking boot over his right foot.

According to Latham, he injured it during the Tide’s last contest on Oct. 21, a comeback win over Tennessee on a play in the third quarter. An Alabama staffer later clarified to reporters that the boot was “precautionary,” and something Latham has worn in-between games this season. Latham has anchored one side of the line while Seth McLaughlin and former IMG Academy teammate Tyler Booker holds down center and left guard, respectively. Underclassmenand Elijah Pritchett have rotated at left tackle. Third-year player Jaeden Roberts has seized the opportunity, replacing Darrian Dalcourt and Terrence Ferguson. Latham was asked about Proctor and Roberts on Tuesday.
