Alec Baldwin said the gunshot that killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of “Rust” occurred after he pulled back the gun’s hammer and let it go, and said he didn’t know there was a live round in the gun
“I let go of the hammer—bang, the gun goes off,” he said in a television interview that aired Thursday night on ABC. Mr. Baldwin said he didn’t pull the trigger, didn’t know there was a live round in the gun and isn’t to blame for the tragedy.
