“I keep saying he’s 21 years old,” Gallant said Wednesday after practice in Tarrytown. “He scored 19 goals last year. I’m expecting similar numbers again this year and it hasn’t quite been there. I think it’s a whole Rangers goal.” Classifying a player as “OK” isn’t exactly a ringing endorsement, but Gallant is always clarifying he’s not disappointed in Lafreniere, just that he knows there’s more to him.
