that he wanted a timeless—and not too fussy— hairstyle that complemented JLo’s natural beauty. “We felt the hair shouldn’t be overly done,” says Appleton. “I pulled back the front of the hair on either side to keep the face open—still with the illusion of the hair being down. The technique was all about getting a gorgeous, luxe finish to the hair. I wanted an effortless, flowy feeling—that when she walked, the hair bounced.
“It was less Vegas, and more about being timeless.”To achieve the look, Appleton first gave Lopez a “classic blowout” and then followed it up with a large three-inch barrel curling iron, “to give it that extra kick of love,” says Appleton. He finished off the look with an anti-humidity spray, shine spray, and hair spray to keep it all in place.
