The event draws crowds from all over the area to celebrate the culture and heritage of Texas. From exciting rodeo competitions to mouth-watering fair treats, the annual event promises a blend of excitement and nostalgia for the whole family. On Houston Life, Barbara Magana Robertson explained the importance of the rodeo and the impact it has on the area and youth. In 2023, the Galveston County Fair and Rodeo generated more than a million dollars for students through the premiere, commercial heifer, and agriculture mechanics auctions. In addition, $70,500 in scholarships were awarded by the scholarship committee.This year, the eight-day event will feature 13 musical acts as part of a talented entertainment lineup.
