DALLAS — A Richardson native who has made it to the final three contestants on this season of American Idol will be performing at halftime tonight during the Dallas Mavericks' playoff game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.to Hollywood after trying out for the singing competition months ago. The Mavs game tonight will tip off at 8:30 p.m. at American Airlines Center. But that's not the only opportunity to see Blocker live this week. The family tells WFAA Jack Blocker was the second to last audition from the Nashville area. Two of the three judges initially voted against Jack moving forward in the competition.That is, until the production crew chimed in and called for a re-vote. Jack got his second shot, and with it, a golden ticket to Hollywood.His parents and his three sisters have plenty to be proud of.
