Yesterday, Amy Schumer and her husband, Chris Fischer, revived the comedian’s YouTube channel to share some hilarious parenting advice.
The minute-long video starts out with Schumer talking to the camera, briefly asking Fischer, with whom she has a 9-month-old son, Gene Attell, to flip it around and show himself,. “We wanted to give our advice about parenting because we’ve learned so much,” Schumer says. “Our first advice/tip is a good toy for a baby around 7, 8, 9 months old — and it is exactly free, what it is, is a box.”
She then reveals her makeshift play area for Gene—a box covered in blankets, pillows and lined with egg crate foam. “So you get a big box, okay? You clean it out and make sure there’s no staples in it, and then you put blankets around it, and you put some toys in it,” Schumer continues. “They can, like, hold on to the edges and stand or fall or whatever, and they really like being in their box. And that is our first parenting hack.
Schumer also promoted the video on her Instagram, posting a picture of herself, Fischer and Gene. In the caption she wrote, “We posted a parenting hack on my YouTube channel. Let me know your thoughts please! Link in bio.”actress Jenna Fischer commented, “The egg crate is genius. For reals.
