Twenty-three candidates have completed applications to be the Anchorage School District’s next superintendent. The Anchorage School Board is working with a firm to narrow down its options, and is slated to interview final candidates later this month.

“Moving to Alaska would probably require that you check in with your family and make sure that, OK, do you want to move to Alaska? But I thought that the number of incomplete applications spoke a lot as well,” said Anchorage School Board President Margo Bellamy.
