Manager Joe Maddon says he thinks Trout – who was hitting .129 with a .464 OPS during the Angels’ eight-game losing streak – is pressing to try to get the team out of its funk.
PHILADELPHIA — While so many of his old friends from New Jersey were dying to see Mike Trout in Philadelphia, the Angels just wanted to see the version of Mike Trout they are used to seeing.
“The last two weeks, I’m just trying to be on time,” Trout said. “I was a little late. It’s baseball. I’ll figure it out.”
