Star receiver Duke Williams has been sidelined by an ankle injury that he suffered in Wednesday\u0027s practice with the Riders.
Receiver Duke Williams was initially shown on the Riders’ depth chart as a starting slotback Friday morning. However, an updated depth chart provided by the Riders listed Williams — who injured an ankle in Wednesday’s practice — as out for Saturday’s game.
“That’s why we went with the decision to go with the healthier roster,” said Dickenson, adding that Williams’ status is week-to-week. The former Riders defensive back signed with the Elks as a free agent during the off-season. He had to find a new home after the Riders elected to not re-sign him after five seasons with the Green and White.
