The Appalachian State football team stayed in College Station a few extra hours following its massive upset victory Saturday over No. 6 Texas A&M.
With the Mountaineers’ charter experiencing mechanical issues, the team returned to the hotel it had stayed the previous night.
There were no rooms available, however, so players and coaches hung out or slept in the lobby, hallways, and conference rooms,, before returning to the airport for a 4:30 a.m. takeoff for their flight back to North Carolina.
