A federal appeals court on Friday rejected former Trump adviser Steve Bannon’s attempt to overturn his 2022 contempt of Congress conviction. to the House January 6th committee. While he was sentenced to four months in prison, he has remained out on bond while appealing his conviction. three judges on the D.C.

The court did not immediately order Bannon to begin serving his four-month prison sentence; instead, he has seven days to ask for reconsideration at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. A federal appeals court on Friday denied a bid by one-time Trump adviser Steve Bannon to topple his contempt of Congress conviction, upholding his sentence for failing to comply with a subpoena from the now-disbanded Jan. 6 committee.
