Thursday will be a much warmer day in the Valley as the National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning.
The warning goes into effect at 10 a.m. on June 20 and lasts through 8 p.m. In addition to Maricopa County , Pinal, Pima and Santa Cruz Counties are also under the warning."Temperatures warm well above normal on Thursday with lower desert communities in south-central Arizona seeing afternoon high temperatures in the 105-114° range," NWS Phoenix wrote on X. "Remember to drink plenty of water and try to limit your outdoor activity, especially from 10 am to 6 pm.
