A Yavapai County jury found Jill Marie Knox, 48, guilty on March 9 for driving under the influence and causing the death of her 5-year-old daughter.
A mother was sentenced to 13 years in an Arizona state prison for manslaughter last week following her 5-year-old daughter's death in a 2020 car accident.
According to a release from the Yavapai County Attorney's Office, on Feb. 10, 2020, Knox drove her SUV into oncoming traffic with her 5-year-old daughter in the backseat. Her daughter was not in a car seat. Knox collided head-on with a pickup truck.
