The suspect fired several shots before running from the store with money from the cash register, Akron police say.

AKRON, Ohio — A man held workers at gunpoint after he climbed through the drive-thru window in order to rob a convenience store in the South Akron neighborhood, police say.

The manager of South Street Drive Thru, 460 E. South St., called police at about 11:30 p.m. The manager tells police that after the suspect took money from the register, he fired several shots before running from the store. No injuries were reported, but although police searched the area they were unable to find the suspect.
