We plan to visit my parents over the holidays to vet out if a move is something we’d like to do, but what if we both don’t want to?Dear Torn: Do you remember the wording of the traditional wedding vow? Compromise doesn’t always result in both parties being equally happy at the same time. Compromise sometimes involves one party saying, “I’ll do this for now, and we’ll agree to weight the scale in my favor next time.”
You should both commit to communicating about this, and decide to keep an open mind while you search for a balance.
